Sheet Pan Steak Fajitas are full of juicy flank steak, onions & peppers, and a hint of lime creating an easy one-pan meal ready in under 30 minutes! When crunched for time during a busy week, this is a great dinner to have in your meal plan.

When I have a busy workday, the last thing I feel like doing is prepping for a big meal. I love recipes that only take a few steps to create, like my black bean burritos. Well, this beef fajita recipe most certainly fits into the easy category!
It's fast, full of flavor and the best part is it only takes one pan to cook!
You can have this tasty meal on the table in 30 minutes if needed, or you can marinate the steak ahead of time with some olive oil and dried spices listed below for an extra punch of flavor.

Tools for steak fajitas recipe
A few handy cooking tools will make this recipe quick and easy and most of them are probably already in your kitchen.
- Sheet Pan– For best results, use a three-quarter sized sheet pan for this recipe instead of a smaller half-sheet pan. This will give plenty of room to spread beef and vegetables in a single layer for faster roasting.
- Baking mat– also known as a Silpat which is a non-stick silicone baking mat. It's great for roasting on baking pans and is easy clean up too. This works great for cookies too!
- Large mixing bowl– Use this to toss all the ingredients in a marinade before spreading out on your baking pan. I love this mixing bowl set on Amazon, or this cute set of 2 bowls from Crate & Barrel!
- Chef Knife- a good sharp chef knife is an essential item to have for cooking. I love my Wusthof Classic 8-inch knife. It works great for all cutting tasks- especially meat!

Ingredients for sheet pan steak fajitas
Flank steak, sliced into thin strips
Mini sweet peppers, cut in half lengthwise and seeded. If you don't have that, then 2-3 bell peppers will work nicely.
Red onion, thinly sliced. Again, if you only have a yellow onion or vidalia onion, that works too.
Olive oil
Ground cumin
Chili powder
Cayenne pepper
Red pepper flakes
Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh cilantro leaves, roughly chopped & 1 large lime, sliced
Optional:
1 large avocado, diced. Try our recipe for Black bean and avocado salsa– this would make a great topping!
Corn tortillas or large lettuce leaves
Directions for sheet pan fajitas
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat® baking mat. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced flank steak, peppers, red onion, olive oil, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, and red pepper flakes. Generously season with salt and pepper, to taste, and mix until everything is well coated.
- Spread the steak and pepper mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and roast in a pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the steak reaches the desired level of doneness and the peppers are soft and slightly caramelized.
- Remove sheet pan from oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Serve immediately with diced avocado, corn tortillas, or lettuce wraps for a low-carb option, if desired. Enjoy!
