As I am working from home now, I am trying to plan out our dinner menus. Makes it easier. When the meal is crockpot bound? That is ideal. So I came up with this recipe over the weekend. I wanted to make slow cooked BBQ, but instead of defrosting ribs, I took out pork chops instead. Re-working my plan, I came up with a pork and gravy dish that had my son drooling as he walked in claiming “Mom! That smells so good! Can we have that tonight?!”

You will need to start with 8 center cut pork chops and the following:

  1. I use the onion soup mix and cream of mushroom soup on roast a lot of times in the crock pot and it is yummy that way too. I don’t even add anything else. By the end of the day you can shred it up and serve it on mashed potatoes or rice. So yummy.

    • I love Chi-town!! The same happens here in upstate NY….After Labor Day the air changes and cozy meals make their way back to the kitchen! This was a hit with the family…they loved it! I will certainly make again…if you make this dish, please let me know how it comes out! 🙂

      • Kelly, I made it today! My family enjoyed it. I will admit to making two revisions to the recipe: did not use the one onion and I added about 1/2 cup of red wine. Hope you’re having a good weekend. 🙂
