Do you love football? Do you love to tailgate? Well, I have the perfect DIY Bloody Mary recipe for when you make that party trek or have to bring that fun home and on the big screen all thanks to the clever folks at LiDestri!
I have been a football, heck, any sporting event fan for as long as I can remember. I love the “game” aspect, the physical talent displayed and admire the mental game toughness needed to compete in most sports. It's awesome. However, I am a new convert to the brunch beverage classic of the Bloody Mary. I've always been in the mimosa camp myself, but that all changed when my husband and I sat in the wee hours of the morning in a Chicago airport bar waiting for our connecting flight. Lined up down the bar were glass after glass of this red cocktail. So, we decided when in Rome…
From that first sip, I was forever a believer. It's a great beverage to enjoy during brunch, by the pool, on a boat, any time really! So, I was excited when I learned that LiDestri had a convenient Bloody Mary cocktail in traditional and spicy flavors available in my local Walmart. You can also find them in Wegman's Markets too.
I went straight to the beverage aisle and on the bottom shelf was their convenient pouch of goodness!
It was the LAST ONE! Word must be out on this awesome find! My hubs and I grabbed it quick and then added some olives, celery, and asparagus to our cart and made our way home. LiDestri Bloody Mary cocktails is perfect because it already has spices and alcohol kick to it, so basically, just dress up your glass, add some ice and you are good to go!
As a food blogger, you know I have to include SOME kind of recipe…so I came up with a quick mix to add to the rim of the glass and a few garnishments that I particularly like in my Bloody Mary.
On a small plate, mix a 1 Tablespoon of Celery Salt and 1 Tsp. of each:
- Chili Powder
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Old Bay
Cut a lime wedge and wet rim of glass.
Dip glass into spice mixture.
Fill glass half way with LiDestri Bloody Mary Cocktail.
Add ice, then fill remainder of glass.
Add celery stalk, asparagus spear, olives, jalapeno pepper, lime wedge and strip of cooked bacon!
Doesn't that look so good?!
