That’s right folks…I have survived the holiday madness…dodged my children’s contempt for my purchase of a fake tree over a real one. I even thwarted their huffs, puffs and eye rolls for wrapping and placing all of the presents under the tree instead of hiding them until the wee hours of Christmas Eve.
It was organized madness and I did become quite scary at times.
Hey, it was what worked for us-and in using the term ‘us’ I mean ‘me’ because I was without my trusty sidekick. I am single parenting for the time being and finding every way I can to make it work. It’s hard. Really hard. I miss my better half.
So today, I will not be scary on this blog. I’ve saved that for a guest post over at my friend Jill’s site Scary Mommy!
So excited to be there today…talking about birthdays that are just out-of-control in my book.
If you are visiting here from Scary Mommy, Hi! Thanks so much for stopping by! Take a look around..I write about a lot of things here…life stories, favorite foods and recipes and about sports/health & fitness. Check out the tab on top for ‘Favorites’ to find my trip to Chicago as the cast of Gilligan’s Island and some of my fiction and memoir writing.
Grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine…I’d love to chat with you!
