We love to travel and find great eats or drinks & this is one of our all time favorite stops when in Pittsburgh, PA:
La Prima Coffee.
The cappuccino is delicious, but the atmosphere is the real draw.
The tiny coffee house is packed no matter what season is present.
Summer finds cafe tables full of friends who make their Saturday morning pilgrimage to discuss events and the goings on from the week, often with gesturing hands and the romantic language of Italian filling the air. If you miss a Saturday, it is noticed in this tight-knit coffee community.
Fall & winter finds the shop standing room only, as long lines snake their way to the counter. You still hear Italian floating past and the shuffle of cards that four older gentlemen study intently before sipping an espresso.
I cannot imagine a Saturday in Pittsburgh without stopping for my favorite coffee indulgence.
