New Year resolutions have come and gone and February is here to remind me to keep strong and stick with my goals. But, let’s be honest; for this food blogger, it can be hard to do that when I’m baking sweets and big meals. Enter the Jenny Craig Kit to get me back on track.
I was provided a free Jenny Craig Weight Loss Starter Kit. However, the opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Jenny Craig has developed a box complete with a 5 day meal plan with more than 20 meals and snacks! This is available exclusively at Walmart stores. Not only is it full of pre-planned meals, but you also receive a free one month consultation at Jenny Craig Center or (via phone) Jenny Craig Anywhere and $50 off meals if you join.
I’ve noticed these kits as I enter Walmart to shop and was curious how they could fit 5 full days of meals into this one box, but they did it, and did so with a good variety. Your kit will come with ravioli, soups, cereal and cookies (yes, cookies!) and much more. You can follow along with the plan that is included making it super easy, especially on those busy days.
Some of the items in the kit I did not care for all that much. For instance the soups were just ok; they were not salty enough for my taste. The ravioli was good too- but what I enjoyed the most from my kit were the oatmeal and breakfast bars. They were perfect for those mornings when I was rushed to get out the door for work. The other big bonus that I liked was including my own salads each day along with snacks like almonds, fresh fruit, and cheese. I never felt as though I was skimping on meals.
The biggest take-away I had from using the Jenny Craig Kit was portion sizes. This is the perfect way to get yourself used to exactly what is the right amount to place on your plate.
I had poor planning last week and this kit came in handy more mornings than I should admit! Haha! Like the cranberry almond biscotti bars- they go great with coffee for a breakfast on the go!
