This past week I made sure to set aside some time to soak in the last of fall's brilliance. Mother Nature really did put on quite a show this year here in the northeast and I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos with you…
A lot of varieties found their way to many farm stands and grocery stores. I chose the small pie pumpkins pictured above to try my hand at pumpkin pie from scratch! Before I attempt that feat in the kitchen, I thought they would make a great back drop for my Pumpkin Truffle recipe photo shoot. When I finally stopped snapping with the camera, I arranged them as a centerpiece for the kitchen table and they look great! I'll be sad to use them for pie. (Not really!)
The leaves were simply breathtaking this season. So many shades of reds, yellows and greens, some I've never seen before..tangerines and even a tree that looked as if it were full of peaches!
When stopping by the market to stock up on supplies for the impending hurricane, I spotted these lovely orange flowers and decided to treat myself. In a few short days I will be turning another year older…so these were the perfect little pick-me-up.
What was your favorite Fall moment this week?
