New Year, New You! Is the catch phrase for now…and as I mentioned in my last post, it is the year of Transformation.
I wanted to wait until I was feeling better before I took on this 3-Day Detox challenge I saw on Dr. Oz a few months ago.
I love smoothies, I love that this is ONLY 3 DAYS and I love that I know I CAN DO THIS.
The other important item I needed was a new blender. I have a little Magic Bullet, that I have definitely put through the paces, but the motor is starting to burn out. I hate that funky “appliance burn-out smell”….if you have ever had one go ca-put, then you know the odor I speak of. I can’t really describe it…but when it happens, you know it.
So I had my sights set on a new Ninja…and Santa brought one! Woo Hoo! Have you had your eye on one too? I’ve saved you the trouble of shopping around…you can get your very own in no time and start your blending madness ! Hiiiii-yyyaaaaa! (That’s my Ninja voice)
So…as I was saying….I wanted to do this detox…and today is the day.
I followed the recipe on the print out from Dr. Oz’s website and had Breakfast. It’s not bad…A little on the thin consistency side for me, but it was surprisingly filling.
