Baked Cheese Crisps Kraft Recipe
This Holiday season has been a bit challenging for my family. We sent our oldest off to college, our youngest is beginning all the college prep, and I started a part-time job at a local kitchen ware store. It's a bit hectic because the college kid is now home for a month on break, the youngest started a new job and my part-time job has turned into full time for the holiday, leaving very little time for shopping and baking! So, when I was asked to come up with a recipe for Kraft using one of their products, I thought “Absolutely!” after seeing Kraft® Shredded Cheese on the list of items and knew I would make Baked Cheese Crisps, also known as Frico.
This recipe is so easy it only contains ONE ingredient. Yep. That's right. One.
So, I grabbed a container of Kraft Shredded Parmesan and Kraft Shredded Sharp Cheddar.
Lined my half-sheet cookie tray with a Silpat silicone liner (or you could use parchment paper) and placed 2 Tablespoon mounds of cheese about 2-inches apart. I gave each one a little pat to flatten them out, then placed them in a preheated 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
These little crisps are a great alternative to crackers or chips. They have so much flavor that you only need to eat one or two to satisfy that craving for something cheesy or crunchy. They are also a great accompaniment to a cup of tomato soup – sprinkle on top and it's like eating a grilled cheese without the bread!
You can also fancy them up for company by molding over a round bottomed glass to make shells which you can fill with chopped up greens and a slice of cherry tomato for individual salads.

Here is the recipe:
1 cup of shredded Parmesan or Cheddar cheese (or any hard cheese)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place 2 Tbsp. of cheese 1-2 inches apart on tray lined with silicone liner or parchment paper.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until slightly brown around edges.
Remove from oven and place on paper towel to cool completely or shape on bottom of round glass.
Enjoy with your favorite soup or fill with salad.
