As some of you may know, my son has been fighting whatever bug has been going around. It hasn't been fun for him and I felt bad to hear him hack away and greet me with glassy eyes while asking for more tea or tissues. The germs seemed to party into the wee hours this weekend, but also realized they were on the flip side of a fun time, so to keep “The Sick” party going strong, they decided to hop on over to another host.
Yes, I would be that host.
And this romping good time is anything but.
So I wanted to confirm that old wive's tale of “Feed a cold, starve a fever” was in fact the correct saying.
It is, right? I don't have it turned around?
Well, if I am correct, then I made myself a hearty breakfast sandwich to feel better.
Want to make one? It may help keep the unwanted party from ringing your doorbell!
Easy Breakfast Sandwich
1 egg, either fried or scrambled (I preferred fried)
1 English muffin, toasted, with smear of butter
1 sausage patty, cooked (I used Bob Evans round sausage patty)
1 slice cheese (I used American)
Assemble and enjoy.
I feel a little better already.
What do you like to make when you feel under the weather?

In my house the saying is "Feed a cold, feed a fever."
That way, I never mix them up.
(Feel better. And yum.)

That does look tasty...
I just want to sit & watch tv or sleep. But I'm a mom so that rarely happens!

It looks great! Now I want one :( and I so don't have those ingredients. (I should tell you though that with the cold/flu you probably should skip the cheese. don't need to help the mucus production.) Have I told you I love your blog :D Get better.

Yes, that cheese was not a good choice, but I love it so! I guess it didn't help that later that day I had a fudge pop to ease the sore throat! ;) Thank you so much!!! I really needed to hear that today! That alone makes me smile and feel better. xoxoxo
