Willing to fore go the real deal for imitation?
Didn’t think so.
All seafood is best enjoyed fresh or as fresh as you can get it. No need to go the fake white with red streak to fool the brain you are eating real lobster, because the taste buds will definitely tell you otherwise!
Want a secret to find the BEST tasting scallops…even from your local grocer that most folks don’t know about? Look for the “pinkish” colored ones…they are sweetest flavored of the crop.
If you can afford it, splurge for the real deal. Lobster and crab are at their finest when fresh from the sea, but there are options for you to enjoy fresh, yet preserved meat. I won’t lie, it does cost a pretty penny- my local market has a small container of lump crab (Phillips brand) going for $19.00 a pound!- but the results will be so much better when real is chosen over imitation.
