Quick & Easy Chocolate Cake

Quick Chocolate Cake Eatpicks pin

Sometimes, one needs chocolate cake.

Yes.

NEEDS.

When that desire for something cakey and chocolaty will not go away,  it becomes priority number one to get a piece of goodness onto your plate and get it there fast.

Oh, I know how you feel. Really I do. Last week that NEED for something chocolate and delicious was so strong I broke out the Kitchen-Aid and recipe book searching for something that I could make AND eat within an hour.

I found just the recipe- ready in 30 minutes and completely satisfied the incredible chocolate cake craving I was inflicted with having in that moment. Is it the BEST chocolate cake recipe ever? No, but it did the job extremely nicely.

Keep it handy for I know you will put it to good use.

Quick & Easy Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

2 cups cold water

2/3 cup vegetable oil

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. white vinegar

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease 13×9 inch pan.

In bowl combine all ingredients. Beat with electric mixer (paddle attachment) on medium high until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick tests clean.

Quick Chocolate Cake with Pom Seeds

——————————–

Serve with vanilla Greek yogurt and raspberries.

I tried the vanilla Greek yogurt and pomegranate seeds- wow! Really good!

I also tried with melted peanut butter…also very tasty.

Try ice cream or powdered sugar or anything you think would go well with chocolate.

And honestly, what doesn't go with chocolate, right?

What is your favorite way to enjoy chocolate cake?
