Friday Coffee Talk More Coffee. What does that mean exactly? Just as it is written. I will be mumbling “More Coffee” over and over again all day long. There is so much to share with you I’m not sure where to start! It’s been a week full of good things! Ok, I’m going to close my eyes and drop my finger on my list and whatever it lands on, we will start with that!
Ok, we landed on Giveaway! Fun!
So, back in September at Type A Conference, I met the nice folks from Jones Dairy Farm. They were kind enough to sponsor a breakfast and a happy hour event, where they pulled out all the stops and brought along some really tasty new products. After the event, I contacted them and we have a few projects planned and the first is to tell you about a new site they have ready for the holidays. I’m not going to give too much away today- you will have to come back on Sunday to get all the details. I will say it’s pretty scrumptious and there is free stuff from Jones Dairy Farm and a little somethin-somethin from Eat Picks® too! So be sure to come back on Sunday!!
Last weekend we flew into Cleveland, OH to begin a three day food fest with the folks at Certified Angus Beef® brand. They are actually located in Wooster, OH, but our first stop was Cleveland and to the fantastic West End Market. It was overwhelming; like the Pittsburgh Strip District on steroids. So. Much. Food. It was like foodie heaven. Then, we had dinner. One of the best meals I have ever eaten. It deserves post all on its own, so look for that very soon.
Which brings me to Certified Angus Beef® and the Sunday Supper crew… I don’t even know where to begin. I’m still trying to process it all. From start to finish, this trip was…I can’t even find the word because it was more than amazing, more than inspiring, more than delicious. It was like meeting a family you didn’t know existed and wanting to spend as much time together as possible. I learned so much that this too will have to be broken down into a few posts because there is no way I could condense into one.
Life Is Good
Before leaving Ohio I was fighting a good fight with a cold and on the last day it won. By the time I got home I was a mess, but nothing a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup and a bourbon couldn’t take care of! I’m much better today thank goodness.
I did however, have to reschedule a few appointments which has delayed the OK from the doc to run again. I’m trying to be patient, but that is starting to wear thin. Life is starting to get back to semi normal after the car accident – I still white knuckle the steering wheel each and every time I see the skid marks crossing the yellow line at the moment of impact and still flash the thought of “How did he not hit me head on?” I’m so lucky and every day I remind myself that Life is good; damn good.
Gawk at the Food
Last thing for today- After almost a year of getting frustrated with all the no’s from Food Gawker, I FINALLY got a yes! How exciting is that?! And what photo was the yes?? The recipe I shared earlier this week for our Pumpkin Truffles! I said in the post that each bite makes you happy and this week they did!
It’s time to fill up the coffee cup again- I’m empty. Hope you have a great weekend and I will see you back on SUNDAY for a fun giveaway!
