Welcome to Friday Coffee Talk, our weekly recap series that revolves around coffee and catching up on what’s going on here at Eat Picks®. This week we are sharing a little taste of Atlanta and Brunch the Type-A Conference.
A week ago today, we were at Type-A, a fantastic conference set to inspire and connect attendees. We met with some amazing brands such as Disney, Lenovo, Best Buy, Martin’s Potato Rolls, Choose Cartons and Jones Dairy Farm (pictured above) just to name a few! We talked quite a bit and are looking forward to working together in the near future.
I do not intend to make this my recap post- that will be coming next week. I had planned on some good recipe posts to share, however, dealing with the recent car accident was a bit consuming upon our return.
Instead, I am going to share some photos of some of the GREAT food enjoyed at the conference. As soon as I landed at the Atlanta airport, I met up with my dear friend Nicole for a quick brunch. As I made my way to the TGIF’s I passed by the counter of Savannah’s Candy Kitchen and could not continue on until grabbing homemade chocolate turtles and this behemoth Oreo Brownie:
Once the chocolate craving was satisfied, I found Nicole and ordered a quick brunch before heading to the hotel.
What is brunch without my favorite new cocktail? Yep, Bloody Mary for me and wine for Nicole.
And for an airport TGIF? Brunch was really, really good! We ordered steamed dumplings, loaded potato skins and the most amazing sesame chicken bites. I was pleasantly surprised.
If this meal was a precursor as to what was ahead, then as a foodie, this conference was going to be quite tasty.
This week included National Dessert Day and we missed it! So, we’ll share a recipe to enjoy- how about the Best Ever Sheet Pan Cake?
Yum! This sheet pan recipe is so easy and super quick. Perfect for when you need that chocolate fix fast.
More to come next week, in the meantime, enjoy your weekend!
