Friday Coffee Talk is here once more and I have no idea how many of these I’ve written so far. I guess I could look it up, but I’m too lazy. (It’s number 6- I went back to count!) I’m enjoying these weekly recap posts and from the emails and comments received, you are too. So, I will continue to write them for as long as we want them. Sound good? Good.
Last week I signed myself up for a workshop at the Apple Store for Mac Basics. It was taught by a woman named Debbie and she was AWESOME! If you’re reading today Debbie-thank you and Hi! Class went well, until one student in particular got stuck on web browsing and kept asking the same question over and over. So, where I learned a ton, there is still a remaining payload of info that could fill up my brain. Hopefully, by the end of summer I’ll have a little more time to take another workshop.
My main concern was trying to find my photos. After the last update, I could not find any of the pictures I transferred over from my old computer to my Mac Pro. I thought I was going crazy. Nope. They are gone. Poof. Sayonara. When iPhoto left the building, so did my files. Thank goodness for external hard drives! Lesson here kids: BACK UP YOUR COMPUTER & FILES in more than one place! You’ll be glad you did.
One of the emails I received this week was from the new affiliate manager from Food Blogger Pro. She introduced herself and if I had any questions to please ask her. So I sent her an email and she answered back! Not that I thought she wouldn’t, but, I have to say, the more I interact with this community, the more I am impressed. Food Blogger Pro is the program set up by Pinch of Yum and it is AWESOME. You do not have to be a food blogger to reap the benefits of joining. The tutorials alone are the best I’ve used…EVER. They are easy to follow and understand. Join for a month, two or three…it’s up to you, because you can cancel any time. I’m still working my way through everything, but if you are new to blogging, WordPress, or just want a refresher-this is worth it. I’ve learned things about WordPress that I never knew I could do! I am an affiliate for them, so if you want to give it a try, you can click on the link above or visit my resources page.
What did we share food-wise this week? Well, we had a dee-lish recipe for Vegetable Pasta, which is basically, “Clean out the fridge of all the veggies before they go bad” and make them taste good! This one is a winner!
Prep work continues for the upcoming graduation party. More on that next week!
