I’m thinking Friday Coffee should have a bottomless pot. It’s the best day to welcome in the weekend, but it also marks the end of a very long week. Both ends of the candle have been lit, and it’s finally catching up with me!
For the last 3 weeks, every waking hour- maybe even sleeping hour- has been consumed with preparing for our new addition, Roost Crate, your ‘Farmer’s Market” in a box. Setting up a new monthly subscription business is no small task. If I’m not reading articles or watching tutorials, attending webinars, writing pitch letters, or visiting local merchants for product ideas, I’m trying to stay on top of social media marketing and oh yeah, working at my part time job! As tired as I am, that drive to succeed wakes me every morning to churn again and again. It’s pretty awesome.
What isn’t so awesome?
I haven’t had much time in the kitchen to cook or bake and the time I have had, it’s been true family dinners with no time set aside to style or photograph the recipes for future posts. I’ve cooked and we’ve eaten. One recipe that didn’t get away from the snap of the camera is a classic Italian dish of cheese and pepper pasta. Look for that to come your way on Sunday!
I have 3 weeks before heading to Pittsburgh to run the Half marathon for the 6th year in a row! Six years! Well, 5 years- the first year I ran the marathon and that was enough for me, haha. But I am excited to head back and once again, taste test for the answer: Is this Pittsburgh Cake Really the Best Cake America Ever Made? I am willing to take one for the team when it comes to Burnt Almond Torte!!
So, thank you for allowing me space to work on this new endeavor- something I truly hope you will be a part of! You can sign up to pre-register for Roost Crate ! We are scheduled to launch in August 2016 and I want to be sure you have first dibs on all the latest news and launch opening!
Now it’s time to make another pot of coffee.
